Brady’s Run Four Season Pavilion
Brady’s Run Park, Beaver County, PA
Following our completion of the Brady’s Run Park Master Plan and a successful application to PA DCNR for funding, we were selected by the County to design improvements related to the Brady’s Run Four Seasons Pavilion.
The goal of this project was to replace a dilapidated open air shelter with a three season pavilion to accommodate large gatherings. During the design process, the Commissioners requested a facility which could be utilized during the winter as well, creating a four season venue. During warm months, visitors can open large panel doors on 3 sides to take advantage of the views of the lake; and during cooler months, the pavilion is heated, providing a comfortable environment year round. Its location in a beautiful setting at the upper end of Brady’s Run Lake is an added benefit.
Sustainability played an important role in the design of the building and site improvements. Sustainable features include LED lighting throughout, composting toilets in the restrooms, and pervious pavement accommodating vehicular access, accessible parking and catering access to the building. An accessible permeable walkway also connects the pavilion to adjacent facilities.
